Reihaneh Hosseini - In the mood for love

Edtion of 20 + 5AP / 60x80cm

« In the act of creating this piece, I was enveloped by the gentle embrace of love. Conceived during a
night steeped in passionate introspection, every stroke and shade embodies profound symbolism,
even though its birth was not a product of predetermined design. I ventured deep within the
labyrinth of my “self”, striving to transpose the essence and hue of my emotions onto the canvas.
This art, of course, is a reflection of my real-life motions (and emotions), where I move, hands leading
the way, through water. However, the “self” in motion within this aqueous expanse, the solitary
woman, the solitary human, the solitary being, is paradoxically not isolated. Her gaze extends beyond
the canvas’s confines, seamlessly navigating and melding with the very element she moves within : the water. »
